Better Balance Therapy is for people who are tired of holding it together and ready for something different. We work with individuals navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, stress, tough relationships, and those stubborn patterns that keep showing up no matter how hard you try to outthink them. As therapists with backgrounds as teachers and military veterans, we understand structure, pressure, and what it’s like to push through—even when you’re running on empty. Therapy here is practical, collaborative, and skills-based, with room for honesty, humor, and real-life messiness. We help you build resilience, make sense of your experiences, and create a life that feels more balanced and sustainable—not just manageable.

Our Experiences

Between us, we bring over 40 years in education and more than 30 years of service in the U.S. Air Force. We’ve taught in elementary, middle school, and college classrooms, and we’ve served as enlisted members and officers—on active duty, in the National Guard, and in combat deployments. Those experiences shaped how we show up as therapists: structured, calm under pressure, and deeply human.

We know what it’s like to lead, to support, and to carry responsibility for others—and how hard it can be to ask for help yourself. Our background allows us to create a space that is safe, inclusive, and grounded, where you’ll feel respected, heard, and supported while you build skills to navigate life’s challenges and move toward your full potential.

  • At Better Balance Therapy, we assist college students and young adults in overcoming challenges like focus, bad habits, task completion, friendships, procrastination, and body image. We help turn these struggles into opportunities for personal growth, making life's obstacles feel more manageable and rewarding. Think of us as your trusted partners, always here to offer guidance and support. Our sessions provide a safe space to explore your thoughts, build support, and transform stress into strength.

  • We provide practical mental health services for adults struggling with trauma, anxiety, grief, stress, depression, relationship issues and/or bad habits. Our approach helps clients process difficult events and emotions, while developing identity, purpose, and skills for growth.
