Our Team

Dedra Tentis, PhD, LCSW Lt Col (ret)

I have considerable experience working with youth and adults including college students, military and family members, and veterans. My PhD is in sociology, and I specialized in research methods, social deviance, and children/youth/families. I was a tenured professor and served in the USAF and Air National Guard for over 25 years. Having deployed 4 times, I get stress, trauma, anxiety, grief, and depression. I use Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART), along with Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to help clients move beyond their stuck points towards growth and positive change.

Sometimes we can navigate tough stuff on our own, but there are times we need the guidance of a therapist to process the emotional pain, fear, confusion, and lingering effects of it. If you want greater control of your life, healthier relationships, and a renewed sense of purpose, reach out to me. I can help!

Daniel Tentis, MSW, MA

If you are a teen or an adult seeking support, understanding, and growth, I am eager to accompany you toward positive change. Through therapy, I will help you develop healthier habits, manage stress, and build resilience while enabling you to create a brighter and more fulfilling future.

I use evidence-based interventions grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) to help clients gain insight, challenge unhelpful beliefs, and develop practical strategies to improve overall well-being.

During my 22 years teaching elementary and middle school students, I prioritized building trusting relationships centered on social-emotional growth. I understand the struggles with trying to balance multiple demands like academics, friends, sports, clubs, family, social media, etc. In therapy, I create a safe emotional space for youth and adults by ensuring a warm, welcoming environment where they feel heard and respected. I establish trust through active listening and validation of their feelings, allowing them to express themselves freely. Additionally, I integrate fun age-appropriate therapeutic activities that promote self-awareness and emotional resilience.
